I started off drawing and got to a level that I thought was about as far as I could go with just a mechanical pencil. I wanted some colour in my work and so bought a canvas with some cheap acrylic paints and off I went. Pretty much all self taught, I have developed my own style now which I like to call expressive realism; that is, it looks realistic but artistically enhanced at my discretion. I am currently working towards an exhibition later in 2018, punctuated by commission work which I undertake on occasion.
